Please note: Picture frames are not equally spaced in time, so it is not an even display of the journey. Nevertheless, it shows significant events throughout the journey, and should give you an idea of what happens.

The time when Bob stops at the star shows the Earth now 8 light years away. This is correct, but it would actually look to Bob as though the Earth had moved, and not the Star. Of course neither the Earth nor Star really moves, it is the space between them that is no longer contracted.
